Rehabilitated 18th century building in the centre of Ciutadella
This unique building was the home of a famous Menorcan cartoonist, who probably found inspiration in its bucolic roof terrace, from which we can see the sea and even the island of Mallorca.
The restoration has been done with a minimalist approach achieving large, clean, bright spaces; and at the same time preserving some of the original elements such as the wooden beams, the arched windows, the stone staircases and the balustrades.
The interior has been carefully designed and decorated, giving each room its own identity. Sustainability has been sought both in the architecture itself and in the selection of materials such as ceramics, terrazzo and stone tiles.
In total, the building has five double rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. Three of them are on the first floor: two with balconies and one with its own private patio. The other two rooms are on the first floor.
It currently functions as a boutique hotel, with a contemporary art gallery and a Café-Bar on the ground floor.
The property offers multiple alternatives. From continuing with the current thriving business, adapting the premises for any other activity or transforming it into a luxurious villa, with a large kitchen open to the living-dining room on the ground floor with access to a pleasant walled garden, in which a swimming pool could be built.
